The Telegraph: How Europe is slowly dying despite an increasing world population


This map shows how European countries’ birth rate per 1,000 people are much lower than other countries across the world. Click on each country to find out the rate and the population growth percentage, according to data from World Bank and CIA

Italy is dying and newborns are not replacing those who die, according to the country’s health minister.

But the map above shows Italy is not the only country facing a population in decline. Europe’s population is overall increasing by a very small amount.
